Inspired by the traditional Rumah Panjang or Longhouse of the Dayak people, the LongHouse embodies the essence of communal living and shared creativity. Historically, these dwellings could extend over 100 meters in length, with each door representing a family, and were made of strong, durable wood known for its resistance to decay.
At Nuanu, the LongHouse reimagines this concept of community living by serving as a space where architects, artists, and creative minds collaborate to curate meaningful experiences. Designed as a two-story wooden structure with architectural accents drawn from Indonesia's diverse archipelagos, the LongHouse fosters connection and cultural exchange.
